SAVING CHINOOK SALMON
SAVING A SPECIES THREATENED BY HUMAN NEGLIGENCE
The Chinook Salmon once thrived throughout the Columbia River and Sacramento River, yet it now occupies only a fraction of its former range. This incredible species is in danger of becoming extinct in these locations unless YOU help!
Salmon are a symbol of strength and health of Earth’s biodiversity. When the Chinook salmon thrives, it means a balance exists within the environment, the economy, and with the people that live near these salmon. The question is not whether the Chinook Salmon should be saved, it is a matter of how quickly we will be able to reverse the effects that have already taken a major toll on this extraordinary species in these locations.
MISSION STATEMENT
Through education and raising awareness, we aim to combat the threats that face the chinook salmon. Chinook salmon have become endangered in the Columbia River and Central Valley Sacramento due to anthropogenic sources.
